Our Motto
Sorry but this news section will not give out too many spoilers. I personally would want to see the movie with out being spoiled. Yet, I want to know about what is going on certain rumors that float around the net. And we all know that Lucas has been hinting that he might sent out fake news to misinform people. So we want to give you enough information to be satisfied yet not enough to leave you disappointed on the film. |

Interisting Episode 1 pics. The very Cool T'Bone has added unpiblished Episode one pictures on his site. These pictures appear in the Official UK Star Wars Magazine. There are more pictures in this magizne but T'Bone only got what he has. But T'Bone promise that he will add more later. The pictures are extremely cool. Some show that Lucas was on set viewing the dailies. Make sure to visit T'Bone Fender's Star Wars Universe and enjoy these pictures that were posted on his site.

Episode 1 on set picture? Some say it is fake, but the person who sent it to Ain't It Cool News says it real. Even Harry also thinks it's fake. Who knows if it is real, but enjoy anyway.
From someone who was on the set at Leavesden. Okay skeptics, what do you think. Do you really think that Leavesden would be open for the public and giving tours? This source could be lying or he is related to someone who works in Leavesden. So who knows, well I should warn you that this has some minor spoilers so beware when you enter. I also got this from Ain't It Cool News.
Cameo Rumor. According to Cinescape, Lucas might include a cameo of a character from the Star Wars novel. Lucas has stated before that he was not too happy with the novels and did not feel that they represented his true vision of the last trilogy. But people close to Lucas say that he does enjoy a few of the Novel's characters Grand Admiral Thrawn and Daala. Although you might not hear a confirmation from the official sources, this is just a rumor that has been circulating around the net. And I assume it was started from die-hard Star Wars fans.

Behind the scenes of Episode 1. If someone had told me that I could follow George Lucas all day and video taping him as he made Episode 1, I would drop to the ground and act like Wayne and Garth. "We are not worthy!" Well, Lynn Hale got the chance to do just that. She even posted it on a site. Right now it is at Part 1 in a series that will be around for a while. Unfortunately the Lynn did not mention how often she would update the site, I am betting at least once a month. Part 1, All I Need Is An Idea, this takes place 4 years ago. Just when Lucas took time out to sit down and actually write down the prequels. This segments just lets you get an idea what it takes George Lucas to get started, and his habits and superstitions. The documentary feels very personal, I mean I never in my life would ever think George was the kind of guy who would let his life be taped for thousands to see. The documentary is five minutes long. It is on Real Video, I am not sure how big the file. Unfortunately I could not save it to see how big it was.
Special Effects Update. On the Official Star Wars site they have a short interview with John Knoll, the special effects supervisor of Episode 1. Sadly John does not give out too much about the film. But he does mention something interesting.
One more Scene to go? I got this from Cinescape. New York Daily News reported that the cost of Episode 1 has soared up from it's $75 million to $115 million. The Daily News says the rising budget is because Lucas demands to see the film on video instead of dailies. And that he will be reshooting scenes. A Lucasfilms spokesperson responded to with say the following
Is this Laims's name? I also got this from Cinescape. The Daily News also reported that Liam Neeson will be playing a Jedi "Bosh". Most of the people on the net are use to hearing that Neeson's character's name is Qui-Gon Jinn. But what if the Daily News is right? Could Bosh be the name for the "Venerable" Jedi?
Smith will continue to make fun of Star Wars. Okay, so this is not really about Episode 1. But I found it interesting as a die-hard Kevin Smith fan. On TVGuide Online Smith spoke a bit about his upcoming film Dogma. He did say the fallow,
Editor note. Have you notice in most Episode news site there has been a significant reduction of discussion of the Episode 1 focusing problem? Maybe we have gotten tired of the subject? Or that no one has come up with more evidence on the subject. Go figure.

No Episode 1 teaser in Fight the Future. Most sites have had a strong amount of rumors about Episode 1 trailer will not appear along with X-Files: Fight The Future. The webmaster at The Official Star Wars Web site, Marc Hedlund, has spoke with T'Bone Fender's Star Wars Universe and said this.
Confirmation of the Star Wars "Plot" joke. In the recent issue of Entertainment Weekly they spoke with Lynn Hale, who happens to be director of communications at Lucasfilm, on the "Plot Does Matter" poster that was posted on the official Star Wars site.

Story Board Picture of Episode 1. Well, I really can't say if it is true or not. But I just think that this is just Kick ass Cool. The Force.net got a hold of this picture. They also cannot tell if it is true or not. But they say they just got it in the mail from a person who would like to know as "The Bat". The person claims that it is storyboard sketch of the pod race in episode 1. Well take a look for yourself.
Last Word on the Episode 1. Well, it seems that everyone wants to just to waist time and bandwidth on the focusing problems with Episode 1. Hell, Harry Knowels of Ain't Cool News firmly believes that it is an important issue that we should all think about. But I believe we should keep an open mind, and take both sides into consideration. I mean this is like the first Godzilla sketches that popped up on the net, hundred believe it was fake and only a few thought it was real. the Force.net got a response from Marc Hedlund, spokesperson for the Official Star Wars Web Site. And this is what Hedlund had to say:
Some Great Behind the scenes photos to Episode 1 Well, it seems that, Countdown has gotten some juicy pictures of behind the scenes in Tantoonie form Episode 1. I don't know how they got them. I just assume that they scanned them from a magazine. But from some of these pictures you can see some old friend come back from past Star Wars films... or is it upcoming Star Wars films?

What Leavesden Studio is doing right now. Leavesden is using it sets for a Russian film which is right now in production. So it is impossible for Lucas to use their studios to reshoot Star Wars Episode 1. I got this from The Force Net.

Rumors of Episode 1 problems. Ain't Cool News, got this first. It seems that the rumor is that there have been some problems with filming of Star Wars Episode 1. The film is out of focus. And Lucasfilms are trying there best too resort it. So far it sound like they cannot fix it and they have to reshoot. This maybe a rumor or it maybe true. Who knows?
The title sequence for Episode 1? Dark Horizons got what they assume is the begin title sequence for Episode 1. Highlight the following if you wish to see it
A long, LONG time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.'
For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights have been guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic of over a thousand worlds. Two of those worlds, Naboo and Nimoudia, stand on the brink of war over a technology that can save both dying races. The Republic is powerless to stop the crisis.
Unbeknowest to all, the Nimoudians have very powerful, evil allies - who are willing to do whatever it takes to plunge the galaxy into chaos . .

The The best rumor so far is that Lucas will show the official Trailer 6 month before the film is release. This is the most believe able since he did the same thing with Star Wars Special Edition.
The Godzilla Joke. Well, it seems that someone at The Official Star Wars site had a few things to say about this years most disappointing film Godzilla. A picture was posted on the preview section of Star Wars site with the Phrase "Plot Does Matter". It was to mock the already silly slogan that goes with all Godzilla Trailers "Sizes Does Matter". No word yet on who did this, but it seems that Lucasfilms has been having a bit of a rivalry with Cenotropolis Films. Before Dean Devlin(writer and Producer of Godzilla) said that Centroplis is not purposely leak out false information about the film Godzilla like George Lucas is doing with Episode 1. Lucas was insulted by this and told the press that he is not planning on doing that with Episode 1, and Devlin was wrong about saying this. Maybe Lucas and crew were ticked off at Centroplis for the remark that Devlin made and decided to humiliate them by making this picture? Or maybe they were disgusted by the film Godzilla and decided to make this picture because of how bad the movie was? And Believe me it was a bad movie. But whatever the case maybe, here is the picture that was posted on the official Star Wars Site.
On set Photos. Ain't Cool News got photos of the sets in Tunisia The place in which Episode 1 will take place in. Here is a link of the site from which Harry Knowels got them from. And here are the pictures, Who knows if they are real, but enjoy them for the time being.
Official Word on Boba Fett. Well the Official Star Wars Site posted a short quote with George Lucas on weather Boba will appear on Episode. He had this to say:
"Boba Fett doesn't show up in Episode I," Lucas commented, "but he has a prominent role in Episode II." Anything else about Episode II he'd care to let us know while he's at it? Lucas smiles. "No."
Although I was looking forward to see Boba Feet in Episode 1, I can wait to see him as he pops in episode 2.
Prequel Sneak Peak. If you have not been paying attention to the E3(Electronics Entertainment Expo), well then you missed on hear on a long list of new things that Lucas Arts will releasing on the PC. On of the most important is Behind the Magic, it will be an encyclopedia of information from the Star Wars Universe. The CD will have information from The Movies, Novels, Comic Books, Action Figures, Television, Music, and Games. The CD will also have a sneak peak at Star Wars Episode 1.
