    Attempting to defuse the turmoil created by the greedy Trade Federation’s blockade of Naboo, Valorum, head of the Galatic Republic, dispatches two ambassadors to negotiate a settlement. He later becomes an unwitting pawn in Senator Palpatine’s plot to unseat and replace the Supreme Chancellor.

About Terrance Stamp

Stamp began his career in London where he was born. He was nominated for an Oscar for his 1962 screen debut as the title character Billy Budd, and three years later took home the Best Actor Award from Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal as the psychotic kidnapper in The Collector. He went on to work on Who’s Who list of directors which include John Schlesunger, Ken Loach, Pier Paolo Passolini and Federico Fellini. At the height oh his fame, Stamp took off to India for a five year break, occasionally making trips back to England to appear in films. More recently, he showed up to great effect in The Adventures of Priscilla-Queen on the Desert, a hit film that did wonders for his career. In addition to his duties as an actor, Stamp has also published the first of three parts of his best-selling autobiography and his first novel.
